Unbeaten for 148 days, the AllStars are taking the league by storm sitting level with 2nd and 3rd place on points, but ahead on goal difference, with 4 games in hand. We certainly don’t want to get complacent but with continued effort and support, we stand a good chance of finishing in a good position! Let’s hope we can maintain our unbeaten run and do well in the next few games!

All Stars United JFC are currently looking for team Managers/Coaches to assist this growing club. You will need to be available to train every Saturday from 10:15am until 12 o’clock midday at Winns Common, Plumstead and on Tuesday evenings at Belvedere or at the common.

FA Level 1 Certificate would be an advantage.

All coaching staff are CRB checked.

And the winner is…Kylron from the Under 13’s!!

Kylron commented that he’d waited 5 years for this moment and was over the moon with his win. Second prize went to Harry from the Under 13’s – well done to our winners!

Kenny Jacket (Manager) and Heather Rabbatts (Club Director) were there giving talks and we saw the first team training with Colin Reed (FA Qualified Coaching Instructor) in an 11 vs 11 session.

We also has demonstrations from SAQ focussing on the physical aspects of training and were shown a small insight into sports science. A very interesting day!!

England won 1-0 in a good game – some good chances created and a sterling performance from Keiron Gibbs who was played well forward today. The ref gave 3 minutes at the end of the game although there were no stoppages the whole half – maybe he wanted to go to extra time…

Last season they were (as Under 12’s) in the SelKent C league and after promotion to the B league, they have proved that they are able to perform at this higher standard. It’s an absolute credit to the team and they still have so much more to give. The boys have really knuckled down to business and play awesome football together.

We all had a fantastic day and most have some kind of bruise or another but it was all well worth it!

The message was clear right at the start from the kick off that was sent back a few feet for Curtis who (as usual) did an amazing big kick up-field to find Josh who took a sweet touch before slotting the opener inside 6 seconds!!!

Here’s an extract from the match report (usually only available to registered players in our forum)

The action started right from the kick off with a super goal from Josh inside 6 seconds!! That appeared to set the president for AllStars and they went on to a bag a further goal before Pheonix came back with a goal that lifted their spirits again. It wasn’t long before we scored another and we went in at half time with the score at 5-2 at half time.

Phoenix scored again at the start of the second half to bring it to 5 – 3 and for a short while it looked like they may have been starting a come back before another AllStars goal put a swift stop to that! A few more goals and a penalty goal from Kylron was enough to finish the job in style! Here’s the goal scorers:

We looked well organised and disciplined today and apart from a few defensive errors, we were in control for most of the game. We defended corners really well and scored 2 goals from set pieces the other end. Our tactical changes appeared to work well and overall it was a great game to watch. A fantastic team effort boys!!
