Today the AllStars Under 13′s team played Pheonix Lions at home and won 8 – 3. It was so special that it deserves a blog post of it’s own!

The message was clear right at the start from the kick off that was sent back a few feet for Curtis who (as usual) did an amazing big kick up-field to find Josh who took a sweet touch before slotting the opener inside 6 seconds!!!

The action started right from the kick off with a super goal from Josh inside 6 seconds!! That appeared to set the president for AllStars and they went on to a bag a further goal before Pheonix came back with a goal that lifted their spirits again. It wasn’t long before we scored another and we went in at half time with the score at 5-2 at half time.

Phoenix scored again at the start of the second half to bring it to 5 – 3 and for a short while it looked like they may have been starting a come back before another AllStars goal put a swift stop to that! A few more goals and a penalty goal from Kylron was enough to finish the job in style! Here’s the goal scorers:

We looked well organised and disciplined today and apart from a few defensive errors, we were in control for most of the game. We defended corners really well and scored 2 goals from set pieces the other end. Our tactical changes appeared to work well and overall it was a great game to watch. A fantastic team effort boys!!
